Who are we?
Situated on Princes Crescent, in the heart of Bare, we have spectacular views across Morecambe Bay. Established in May 2021, we are a contemporary wine bar offering food including sharing boards and small plates, crafted with love and made with incredible produce and supplies sourced as locally as possible. Shackleton's is the perfect place to take a seat, have a drink, a bite to eat, a chat, some laughs and pass the time away on the Bay.
What’s in a name?
Being very distantly related to the Great Explorer Ernest Shackleton, the bar ties in some nautical themes in line with Sir Shackleton's famous expeditions to Antarctica. Shackleton is the maiden name of the previous owners mum and wonderful Nana Shack. She would be very proud of the business as it is today.
